The Art Museum “Tenerife Espacio de las Artes” (TEA) by Herzog & De Meuron and Virgilio Gutiérrez is located in the old center of Santa Cruz. It consists of a large multi-level structure on the right-hand side of the “Barranco de Santos”―the ravine which cuts the city in two―hosting a library, an exhibition space, a modern art museum and a center for photography.
The Olympic Athletic Center of Athens (OAKA), is a sport facilities complex built in 1982 and refurbished for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games under a design produced by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.
Built in 2003 in Rome and designed by the American architect Richard Meier using TX Active, a photocatalytic cement specifically produced by Italcementi Group for this architectural work. (more…)

Designed by Frank O. Gehry in Bilbao, Spain, in 1997, with about 30 thousand cubic meters of concrete, mixed with III-2/35 SR-MR cement, produced by Cementos Rezola of Arrigoriaga (Spanish subsidiary of Italcementi Group).
Design by architect Dominique Perrault the French National Library is considered the first example of minimalist modern architecture on a large scale. Noteworthy is the use of materials: concrete structures and technological systems are left exposed to liven up the squared forms that characterize the whole building.

The Pirelli Tower, designed by architect Gio Ponti in 1950 and inaugurated in 1960, with its 127-meter height and 31 floors, is one of the tallest reinforced concrete buildings in the world, featuring essential lines and an imposing yet light design.
