The “Master School F.lli Pesenti” of the Department of Structural Engineering (DIS) was established in 1927 at the Polytechnic of Milan and sponsored by Italcementi Group.

Established in 1927 within the Polytechnic of Milan and sponsored by Italcementi Group, the “Master School F.lli Pesenti” of the Department of Structural Engineering (DIS) has proposed for over 80 years post-graduate Specialization Courses, and for 10 years Level I and II Master Courses, aimed at promoting the innovation of products, standards, methods and equipment for civil and infrastructural engineering, supported by specific professional training.
The School was founded by the Polytechnic Rector Gaudenzio Fantoli and the Pesenti family with the aim of increasing the wealth of technical-scientific expertise in building materials and their application. To date the School can boast the attendance of over two thousand students from Italy and abroad; a qualified team of teachers including university professors, managers and professionals; cooperation with famous engineers and architects in important designs at national and international level; an international partnership network with leading industrial companies; research activities with objectives of excellence in cooperation with leading bodies and institutions, including the LEED.
